I have to say that I love Googling. I mean, it is unbelievable that we have so much information at our fingertips in a few seconds.
I think that is the biggest advantage of Google - the speed and vast amount of information available to us. I can barely count how often I use the internet to solve different problems during the week - from finding a recipe to use those veggie which are looking on the slightly overripe side to how to get pen stains out of clothing - which just so happens to be saturating the spot with either hairspray and letting it dry before laundering or using rubbing alcohol.
Another nice thing about the internet is that you can access the most up to date information on certain topics, whereas it would take you a few months to receive the latest book on a topic.
While I certainly use the internet frequently, I still am a traditionalist when it comes to libraries or books. While you can now access many publications online, I still like to have a print copy in my hands - to be able to mark and highlight in. I also like to make copies of my assignments to keep in a file folder, because I still do not trust computers after losing a paper to the Black Hole of Failed Memory.
Well, I am sure I can think of another two points, but I will move on to my next post.....
Stay tuned!
